Make Movie (DVD) not rendering entire project

This must be a mistake on my part, but can't find it in forums or manual. When I go to Make Movie (DVD w/o menus), it estimates size to be 2.1GB (about right, half hour video). But when it burns, the encoding takes a fraction of a second, then it burns the "movie" which is about 1.5 seconds long--a tiny piece, not a whole source segment) taken from somewhere in the middle of the project, not the beginning.

Can't figure out why it's not using the entire project for the movie. When I do a Render As, it encodes/outputs the whole project to the video and audio streams. Problem is just with Make DVD.

You probably have a loop region (a blue section bordered with the little yellow triangles on the time ruler) set for that 1.5 second long portion, and when you are rendering you have "render loop region only" selected. Either disable the loop region by pressing the i and o keys without moving the cursor in between (collapses it to zero length), or uncheck the "render loop region only" box in the render dialog.
