Making a movie that can be played on any operating system

I finished a project set it to make a movie. It does not provide a generic program I can create a movie that can be played on any Operating System. I need to put it on memory stick so they can take it with them to show to others. Thanks for helping

Yep, MP4 is pretty universal.
