Making animated backgrounds

I have used Cool3d to make a few animated backgrounds but would like to know if there is anyone using VMS to make them ? If so, is there any links to a tutorial to make them with VMS 8 ? If not, what software would you suggest? The ones I have made are lacking in quality IMO. My final goal is to improve my dvd menu's.

I make them using a combination of keyframes, rotation and noise texture. If you want a cheap other party solution, then give Blufftitler a go. This is actually a 3d title programme (very usable!) but it also allows to create very nice, dynamic background.

On the cheap you can use Noise Texture and keyframe the Progress slider.
