Making Multiple DVDs, Now and Later

Ok, I Am using DVD Architect and I created the project file and saved the DAR file. After preparing/burning it to DVD I see it created a folder with all the VOB files.

I plan to make additional coipies of this DVD down the road. Obviously I should keep the DAR file but do I need to keep the VOB files as well? If I delete the VOB files I suppose it will just have to recreate them when I got to make additonal DVDs (of the same movie) later. Right?

So it would seem logical that I should keep the VOB files to make future copies quicker.

Is this how you folks go about it?

Chris

If you're not going to change anything, you can just copy the DVD itself! If that's not available, keep the video_ts folder and all its contents and burn them to a DVD when you want a new copy.

If i know the project is a done deal and i'll be making copies, i'll save the prepared folder with the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS (which contains the VOB files) directories. There's no need to save anything else UNLESS (and that's a big unless!) you'll need to do any further editing or changes. In that case you'll want to save your source material and project files, and the prepared folder probably won't be much use.
