i have 6 seasons of a TV show with roughly 22 episodes a season, i would like to fit one season a DVD, but that would be like 200mb a show which would probably be crapy quality so my question is what settings can i tweek to get me the smallest file size but good quality each show should be about 15-16min once the comercials are gone im new to Vegas i have used it at school for a couple of weeks but after reading this forum i have switched from Avid to Vegas, i was reading 500pg manuals just learning to capture thanks for any suggestions

Make yourself a VCD out of one of the shows and see if you are satisfied with the quality, which some say is comparable to VHS. If so, you can encode all your shows in that format, which is a much lower bitrate than MPEG2-encoded DVD. Another alternative (if you don't mind watching your videos only on PCs) is to use a state-of-the-art encoder such as Windows Media. A VCD-type bitrate there will get you something much closer to DVD quality, but of course DVD players won't know what to do with it.
