Making Titles for export to other NLE's

I need to make some short titles using ProType effects in Vegas that can key over video in another NLE (Media 100).

If I export as an NTSC DV AVI, the background under the title is black, not an alpha channel. It won't key.

How do I export titles from Vegas so they have a keyable alpha channel and what format/codec would I deliver them in?

For this sort of thing, I usually render a a Quicktime (PNG) with Millions Colors + option. Also, I set the frame rate to 30p in project and render settings.

Thanks. I'll try it.

I also discovered by squinting at the grayed out check buttons under the AVI output screen that an alpha channel can be included if using "UNCOMPRESSED" formats.

So I tried outputting as uncompressed avi and that works too.

Downside: a 4-second title is 150MB!
