Managing FX Presets & Plugins VP13

Hey guys,
A few months ago I installed a trial version of Boris Continuum Complete, however after it turned into a Vegas crash-fest I decided to uninstall it. The sad thing is that the uninstall did not remove the hundreds of presets from my FX plug-ins window. I downloaded the Sony Preset Manager but that tool is too ancient to work with Vegas Pro 13.

Does anyone know of any manual way to remove this huge list of offending presets from Vegas? (clearly it won't just let me delete them.)

Cheers,
Pete :)

Not to be snarky, but you need to take some time to learn to use it. I must admit, it's not user-friendly, but it does work with V13--at least on my system. Here's a screen shot of the help file which explains how to delete presets from your system. Note that these are for Sony only. For 3rd party presets, you'll have to find documentation that describes exactly where they are stored and manually delete the folder containing them.

"...after it turned into a Vegas crash-fest I decided to uninstall it."

This type of event is the exact reason that you have a full image of your boot system. Don't bother uninstalling all the junk that accumulates, just fall back to a known-good system.

I try things that would make your teeth bleed, but when I decide I've had enough, I restore the system and forget the whole thing.

My wife thinks I'm always snarky.

Thanks for taking the time to do the screen dump, it's pretty straight forward actually, unfortunately the Preset Manager does not show any system presets, it only shows FX Presets and FX Chains that I personally created.

Also it seems that there's also no way to import any current presets as the sfpreset extension used by Preset Manager seems to be outdated.

I've messaged the folks at Boris, but thanks anyway.

Yeah you're right John, I should have not left it on there for so long.
