I used media manager in the earlier days of Vegas and was actually able to install it manually after it quit being offered and it continued to work to Vegas 17. I eagerly upgraded to 18 based on the offering of VEGAS Prepare which looked to be a major upgrade and improvement over the old and tired media manager. I liked being able to easily tag files and find files by their tags. Unfortunately, the feature was never released.
Can anyone recommend a consumer priced program for organizing video files that will allow Metadata updates to tags and other info be written to the files? Lightroom will allow tags, but does not write them to the files. The free Adobe Bridge used to do this but it looks like it no longer does (or I can no longer figure out how to do it). Sony Catalyst Browse is free and is a very nice option for browsing and previewing files, but I see no way to use tags.
I just want to be able to browse my files and preview them, add tags to individual or multiple selected files, and have the tags written to the embedded Metadata of the file so the are usable in other programs.
It would also be nice if Vegas would show the tags in the explorer tab!
Thanks,
Billy
