I wish the histogram had adjustment controls that work graphically like a equalizer. I'm often trying to flatten a hump in the histogram. Has anyone techniques for doing this.
The histogram is just a graphic representation of the levels in your video. You need to use some of the other corrections effects such as HSL, Brightness/contrast in order to actually change the video levels.
Try working with the 3 wheel color corrector, or Saturation Adjust.
slide the sliders, move the targets, you'll immediately see change in your histogram views. Question is, does it look the way your eye says it should look?
