Manual for Movie Studio 9 Platinum Pro Pack

I purchased Movie Studio 9 Platinum Pro Pack and am looking for a manual to help me get started with my project (converting VHS tapes to DVD). I want something that will provide editing instruction, overview of putting together a project, file folder management, and what all of those options mean when windows appear. Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!

At the top of this page, Downloads > Manuals.

You can also follow the "Show me how" tutorials in the program. Help > Show me how...

You can search the forum here for threads with links to tutorials. You can also find many tutorial videos on Youtube but you have to watch for the ones the only apply to the "pro" version.

If all else fails, start a new topic with whatever your question is and we'll help you out. Newbies are welcome here.

Hello W Eisner:

I did a post on October 16 discussing some training materials I purchased on SVMS. I paid $56 for one of the items (the video I think) and about $15 for the other. An excellent investment for me, but you might be able to shop around and get a deal.

========

I recently purchased two excellent training pieces for Movie Studio. They have help me a lot and I can see myself progressing to the next level with my little videos. I think other new users will also find these materials helpful:

Sony Vegas Movie Studio Training (DVD)
By Douglas Spotted Eagle. This DVD runs about 5-hours and takes you from the beginning to the end of a basic project. I learned at least a dozen things I did not know before, so it was money well spent.

Instant Vegas Movie Studio + DVD (Paperback Book)
By Douglas Spotted Eagle and John Rofrano
This book isn't written as a companion to the above video, but it functions very well as one. The advantage I have with this book is that I can look-up techniques quickly rather than put my DVD in and search for the topic. The book also devotes a chapter to using ACID for music composition.

These items are available at vasst.com, Barnes & Noble, Powells, etc. I am not affiliated with vasst.com or DSE. But I wanted to recommend these items because I learned a lot and I think other new users may benefit as well.

========

Good luck with SVMS. I really like it compared to what I was using, and I've found the folks on this forum are extremely helpful.

Thanks so much for your suggestions! I am working my way through the forums (good info!) and will look into the Douglas Spotted Eagle material. Thanks again.
