Many Headaches with DVD that don't play

I bought DVD disc : LOTUS. I never used that type before but I bought them because they were quite cheap: BUT, I had many problems with them. In some of the players they are playing, in others, not. Till here, it's normal. But in one computer I made a test with different types (Verbatim, TEAC), the only one that was not working was the LOTUS (the computer didn't even recognize the disc), so I though it was a bit suspect.

And the clients to whom I gave them told me that they were not be able to play till the end of the film. All of them (10 DVDs) were stopping after 7/10 minutes of playing. They played them in different computer and desk player and all have the same problem. So waht the problem. It is a real headache!!!
I don't understand what is happening.

Is anyone know this type of DVD?
Do you think the problem may come from the disc themselves?

Thank you in advance.

You get what you pay for. If you purchase cheap no-name DVD's, expect poor results. I've had good results with Verbatim; I think other people on the forums have reported that Ritek also has good DVD's (someone will correct me if I'm wrong).

I have purchased discs from Americal.com. They are inexpensive and seem to work very well.
