What's a Map Generator?
Wrong codec or codec not installed?

Sorry! Yes, Route Generator's resulting .avi file does not work in my Vegas Pro timeline.

Some clarification may help here. I downloaded the latest version of Route Generator. The output plays fine in Windows Media Player. In Vegas 8 and 9, while the frames say they are ticking away, the display is only the first frame.

G Spot says that the output file is an uncompressed file or a CODEC so simple the OS handles it. Vegas identifies it as Uncompressed.

The work around is to load the bitmaps as an image sequence. It works great that way. I can't for the life of me pin down why Vegas just shows the first frame.

V1.3 is an alpha version and it says on the webpage:

"More configurable options (e.g. selecting different codec or frame rate of generated avi) (not available in alpha version, yet!) "

if it plays in windows media player you can capture it with windows media encoder - free download from MS - that will work in Vegas
