Markers Imported Weirdly (Vegas 4.0e)

I had to Vegas projects (both already edited, with markers) that I decided to merge into one.
I rendered the second one as an AVI (saving markers in media file), hoping to import it into the first one - with the markers.

Well... The markers do get saved, and they do get imported - and I can see them very nicely in the Trimmer view - but when I drage the entire clip (from the Trimmer) to the timeline, the markers appear differently than the regular markers that I place manually on the timeline. That is, their position is not editable (I can probably live with that), but the problem is that I can't see the markers' labels.

Is there a way to import an AVI with markers, so that the imported markers appear on the timeline just as the markers I place manually?

Thanks,
Lynn

No, this is the way imbedded markers work. They are imbedded in the media. What you would have to do is manually create Timeline markers and every Media marker.

Ultimate S has a tool for importing and exporting timeline markers but it only works with Vegas 5.0b (not 4.0, sorry). This would do what you want.
