As a work-around you can run the script to generate markers... and then import them into the DVDA project (there is a button on the media timeline in DVDA)

You make it sound as though such a script exists - do you know where I could get it? Also, I see no way to import markers into DVDA3 except through the media file.

You could try clicking the "clear markers" button in DVDA and then clicking the "Load Markers" button to see if it will reload them (assuming they really do exist).

Yup, it’s one of the hundreds of Vegas resources at the VASST web site. Here is a link. Place it in your Vegas .\Script Menu folder, then in Vegas use Tools > Scripting > wil_mksfl_vegas to run it.

As Scott said, use the Load Markers button. You must place the file that the script generated in the same directory as the MPG file (actually, I think it generates it there by default).

Sorry.,.... thought that script was installed with V6..... the VASST link will get you there "Vegas save markers for DVDA" is the one.

The "Load Markers" button will bring them in (as everyone else has said.

Hopefully my less than perfect initial response was enough to get you looking in the right places.... but from the sounds of things... that didn't happen. As you sounded pretty desperate I decided to go for a quick and dirty (but basically correct) response in the hope it would get you to where you needed to be.

I experienced the same problem and posted it on another thread. I found though that even though it doesn't show them on DVDA3, when I went to play the video on my set top player, all the chapters were there exactly where I placed them.

Thanks for the pointer. I realize that there's a LOT of good resources on the Vasst site. The problem is finding them.

They may "be there", but when I insert a scene selection submeu, they are not found.
