Hope this is something I'm doing wrong because if it's not this has got to be the wierdest thing I've seen, ever.
Need to mask out some crud at the edge of the frame. Use Event Pan Crop to create rectangular mask. Appears fine in the preview window but it doesn't affect the video going to the external monitor. Worse still nor does the mask affect the rendered output.
Adjust the Track Opacity using the slider in the track header to 99% and Bingo, the mask now works. I get the same behaviour in Vegas 7 and Vegas 6. Restarted PC, same result.
If no one's got any ideas I'll try it tomorrow on another PC that runs V8.
And here's an even more interesting tidbit. It works fine with generated media?
And even wierder. My source footage is 25p. If I change the media properties to LFF the mask works?
I have tried the Force Resample switch in the track media properties to no effect.
