master image file CD architect ./ multiple drive?

Hello, as a new user to SF 9 and CD-A.. I usually burn my CD's and DVD's with Nero and use multiple burners.

I've never heard of a wav file being an image file.

How do you all use CD'A for burning with multiple recorders...

would prefer to have it go over to another computer and let nero burn a stack at a time.

i looks like i may have to make a CD in CD-A and then burn an image file in Nero?..

any suggestions on what others do?

thanks,
Wayne

I have long asked for CDA to be able to save an ISO image, and now a DDP format is necessary/desirable too, to allow professional use without denegration incurred in burning and reading before duplication even begins.

FWIW I use Padus DiscJuggler for dupe to 14 writers at a time.

I concur that CDA supporting direct creation of an ISO image is way past due. Otherwise it is a process of jumping through hoops -- physically burning a CD at the slowest possible speed onto a CD-R of the highest grade (like Mitsui or Taiyo-Yuden) in order to use another program (like Nero or Exact Audio Copy) to make a portable ISO image. That I can't burn at anything less than 16x is irksome, but may be a function of my DVD-R. It would be useful to be able to force a slow speed burn in order to make an accurate master CD copy. Of course, being able to render an ISO image would make slow speed burns less of issue.

The 'image' thing is definitely overdue.

However tghe multiple drives thing is, I think, beyond the scope of CDA. As mentioned previously, I use Padus DiscJuggler which is a full professional duplication environment. I found the multi-writer functions of Nero, Feurio (?) and others to be rather hit-and-miss - not to be relied on.

I really wish CDA5 could output Iso similar image too.

I tried to make the temp image that CDA makes compatible with Nero, but could not do it.

I get problems with CDA when I burn discs at slow speed rate.

I rather burn the CD with Nero too.

I also tried looking around for 'virtual cd burners' that could direct CDA burning to HD as image.

But couldnt find any software that really worked.

This is something I would like to see CD Architect do is burn ISO images so I can burn them with Nero, since CD Architect is very fussy with burnt discs and players! see my other post for details.

Save As CDA Image file (WAV) and generate Cue Sheet.

For duplication I use Padus DiscJuggler (www.padus.com ). I burn a disc in CDA (at no more than 8x) , then suck the disc image off that into DJ - seeming an unnecessary extra step with potential degradation. ISO and DDP images would really be great.

I use CDA daily and have never seen the burn behaviour that you are getting with the vartiable readability on different drives. What is your writer - maybe there is something 'new' in writers (DVD/CD writer ?) that CDA needs a tweak to accomodate....
