Master Stream in Video Capture

Hi, I was wondering if I could capture de audio only from a MiniDV. Has the "Master Stream" option in the capture preferences in the Sony Video Capture anything to do with that? Thanks for your comments!

You can't just capture audio with the vegas capture utility. You must either capture both or just video. There is another utility that will let you capture just audio but it slips my mind right now.

IF you can tolerate the loss in quality you could play the audio out as analogue from the camera and record that via your sound card.
Much better and easier to just capture the lot and then render out as .wav and delete the original file.

Yep, that's what I'm about to do, render as wav and get rid off the original. Is interesting, thought, that being Vegas originally a sound software it does not have that feature.

Scenalyzer Live has this option.
