Matching Non-Progressive Scan

Hey all...

I'm matching some interlaced footage to footage shot in progressive scan. I want to render to progressive scan so in my properties settings for my project, what deinterlace method should I choose ?
Blend Fields or Interpolate Fields ?

I did a render of each, put them both on the timeline and switched back and forth. The results were indeed a progressive render but I really couldn't tell the difference, which would you suggest?

It's more a question of what's in the vid. If it's fairly static/slow/lo motion, stick with blend fields.
The better way to see this is shoot a test card with interlaced test patterns, then render them both. You'll immediately see the diff, especially if there is any camera motion.

You can get better results if you use Mike Crash's De-interlace filter.

See this thread on the dvinfo.net forum

mikecrash.ws.cz is where you get it from if I remember right.
