mcplug.dll error

new computer. just loaded vegas movie studio 8.0. have moved all my video files from my laptop to the new desktop. now my project won't open entirely. a pop up says error has occured - mcplug.dll error? any ideas

Perhaps updating to the latest patch of 8.0 may help?

There was a sound issue discussed earlier wherein the fix was to replace the mcplug.dll and one other .dll. Have a look at this thread and see where it mentions where to get the new mcplug.dll and what to do with it. That might be all you have to do, in which case, it's an easy fix.
