I have done a search on the forums and it seems that Media Manager cannot see subclips and regions. I think this would be a very useful feature, especially when organizing clips for documentaries or event videography. For these purposes, it appears the more limited Project Media/Bins is currently the more useful option or Explorer/Regions, though I prefer to see thumbnails, so I use subclips and bins. The option to have a database library which includes subclips and/or regions with thumbnails that you can tag and do combinations of searches on would be great. If recognizing subclips is not possible in MM, one approach might be to provide the option to save subclips in Vegas as files, though ideally it would preferable to have Media Manager be able to read subclips as markers to the original clip.

When I first installed 6.0 I tried to use this Media Manager and it baffled me. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how this thing was intended to be used so I removed it from my interface. Seems the Explorer and media pool (oops, project media) are all I need.

How can MM improve my workflow?

Jim,
If like me you use new footage for each project, then as you say you don't need the Media Manager.

If on the other hand you need to call on stock or library footage, loops, sound effects etc, then Media Manager could be very useful in giving you instant acess to all that material, cross referenced by tagging with as many names as you like.

I use saved Regions from Trimmer, carefully named to tell me their identity and sorted into the order I need, so I don't have MM enabled either.
