I have re-installed my V6 (onto a month old new computer) at least half a dozen times trying to get back my wave hammer and other plug-ins and problems that have come up just recently . The last snag has been a new messege appearing before V6c will open up
(and requiring an OK click).... it reads

"MSSQL$SONY_MEDIAMGR service does not exist or the current account does not have enough priveledge to manage it"

which is then followed with another messege box with an OK button to click which reads

"Media Manager unavailable initialization failed"

I haven't had these messeges come up before in the past with my new computer. I recently installed my Acid 3.0g and it seemed to upset the V6 as my plug-ins disappeared after that. I got the plug-ins back when I reinstalled my SF7 and also SF8 so theplug-ins work now. But these new messeges still keep popping up when I open V6c, after many un and re-installs, even going back and using my disc to install and then upgrade to V6c. Don't know what else to try....can't seem to get it right with reinstalling and media manager just won't load or work.

p.s. forgot to mention that the Media Mgr did "install successfully"
only to be followed by the messeges indicated above. I just went into Options/Preferences/General and disabled the Media Mgr to avoid the problems on opening V6....which means no Media Mgr....working...
