{Media Offline} Can I get them back?

While doing some late summer cleaning, I accidently deleted my original .avi (captured) files. When I tried to open the project, I get the 'Media Offline' and 'Can't find media' message.

I do have the original .veg files, and the rendered video (mpeg) but, I want to open the .avi file to print to tape.

Can I just re-capture the video, and will Vegas recognize the time code? Or do I start over?

You should be able to recapture the media and have it populate your project exactly as it was before you deleted the media. When you open your project and get the message media off-line you should see a whole host of options that VV presents you with.

The following is displayed to me:

"What do you want to do?"
Search for a missing file
Specify a new location or replacement file
Recapture media
Recapture all off-line media
Ignore...

You should be able to select recapture media and go from there. I'm sure you can do this through VidCap too, but I've never tried.
