Media pixel aspect ratio keeps resetting

Can anyone help? I am using DVD Architect 3.0.

I have used Vegas 6.0 to create some 720x576 .wmv's in PAL Widescreen mode (so they appear full screen but horizontally squished unless you set it to simulate the aspect ratio). When I import them in to a 720x576 PAL Widescreen DVD Architect project, the media properties default to PAL DV. So on screen they appear as squished 4:3 movies. When I create chapters, the clips appear in 4:3 screens. When I change the pixel aspect ratio for the clip to PAL Widescreen, I expect the picture to expand to fill the screen. Nothing happens though. If I select media properties again, the pixel aspect ratio has returned to PAL DV. In fact if I change any of the options, such as field order, they always reset after I press OK.

The only screen I have managed to get to look correct is the main menu, but that is only because I can select stretch to fit, which correctly expands the image.

Has anyone come across this problem. Am I just being thick? I have a whole project all set up and ready to create, but I am stuck at the last hurdle!

Any help would be appreciated.

I have figured out a work around. I will post it here in case it helps anyone else. The bug is still a problem, which I think needs addressing, but this workaround allowed me to finish my project.

I realised that MPEG-2 encodes the pixel aspect ratio in to the stream, unlike WMV that needs to be told. So I re-rendered my source material in Vegas 6.0 as PAL Widescreen 720x576 MPEG-2. This allowed the first guess of DVD Architect to be correct (as it could use the information in the MPEG stream to decide the pixel aspect ratio). I still cannot override it like you can in Vegas, but at least now it is in the correct format.
