Media.RecordedDateTime ?

When I access the "RecordedDateTime" property on a media object, it always comes back as Jan 1 00:00:00, which according to the documentation, says the recorded date/time is not available. I'm specifically interested in HDV m2t files.

I know that the recorded date/time is available on m2t video during capture... HDVSplit is a freeware capture tool that has the option of appending the recorded date/time as part of the file name for the captured clip. So either the capture programs aren't storing the value in the clip file or Vegas has a bug and is reporting the value isn't available when it is.

Can someone tell me why I can't get access to the recorded date/time info on m2t media?

Thx.

Additional info.... it just occurred to me that in addition to capturing m2t's, HDVSplit can take a media file previously captured by Vegas and split/convert it into clip files with the recorded date/time on the file name.

So this confirms that the correct recorded date/time IS stored in the media file. Apparently Vegas is simply not finding it.

is this a known bug? Has Sony responded to this in earlier reports?

Thx.
