There use to be a media explore ability for Vegas that allowed you to search for filenames on your computer directly inside vegas. https://omegle.onl/ https://xender.vip/ Does anyone remember this functionality and have discovered a new way of doing this?

If you have Vegas Pro 18 or above (not Edit though), perhaps wait for the release of Vegas Prepare which offers:

VEGAS Prepare integrates powerful media management directly into your production workflow. Organize your footage into a structured library, create collections of related assets and add tags to individual files for powerful searching and filtering. Access your media collections directly through the Hub Explorer window in VEGAS Pro. Synchronize your VEGAS Prepare library with VEGAS Pro so that the changes you make in one update in the other.

We'll have to wait and see if this addresses your question.

There's a tool in HappyOtterScripts, MediaFinder, which enables searches for new media as well as searches for replacement media using a variety of filters. Here's a screen grab.

Note that it doesn't have the database or tagging features of the old MediaManager or the future tool mentioned by @Dexcon. It's primarily just a search and media replacement tool.

You can find detailed information at https://tools4vegas.com/mediafinder/
