Menu Backgroun Graphics

Can someone advise the correct size of a graphic to use as a background for the DVD. We are using the 16:9 format. I have tried and the graphic looks stretched and out of shape.

I've been using the same source template in Photoshop for so long that I had to look up what I use.

I use the Photoshop preset: Film & Video, HDTV 1080p template. The canvas size is 1920x1080 pixels.

The NTSC DV Widescreen template makes a 720x480 canvas in Photoshop.

In DVDAPro - it doesn't matter much what size the graphic - because you have a toolset within the app known as crop and adjust to get the on-screen presentation correct for your menu.
