Menu problem

I am trying to do this. I did a documentary type movie with 6 chapter points. I am trying to just create a one page menu to open with six buttons on it leading to the starting point and the othe chapter points. Damned if I can do it. I have gone to DSE site and taken the tutorials gone through the manual several times and cannot seem to "get it" I have years of video editing and have had almost no problems getting up and runnign on v 4 hich I love but I feel very stupid about DVD A. Is there another site that might help me with tutorials? Any suggestions? Am I asking to much of the program?

I for one would appreciate it. It really is bad you know, to feel this dumb. After so many years editing it is embarrassing to somehow be unable to grasp what is probably a simple concept when properly explained.
