Menu question...

I'm sure this has already been asked, but I couldn't find it when I searched, so here we go.

I'm not able to delay my menu links the way I want to. Here is what I'm going for. When DVD starts I have an video clip playing, I want to fade in the menu links to navigate throughout the DVD a few seconds AFTER the video starts. The problem is when I put the menu links on a time delay, the video clip delays along with it and they both fade in together. What can I do to have the video clip start, but the menu links fade in after it?

Thanks!

you would have the start video be jsut that, a start video & then the menu comes up. So they would be two seperate elements (it's how it's done on commercial DVD's)

Assuming DVDA or DVDAS 3.0, go to the online help, click the index tab and type in Delayed - this should bring up a number of topics but the one you want is "setting loop points for menus"

As Scott pointed out, this is accomplished by moving the loop point on the DVD menu. It’s the green marker that is normally at the beginning of the menu timeline. Just slide it to the right to where you want to links to show up and they won’t show until the marker is reached. The menu will also loop back to the marker point. This is useful when your menu includes a transition that you only want to be seen when you navigate to the menu but not while it’s looping.

Ah...I've got it...thanks guys! I was setting the delay, but not sliding the loop point.
