Menu Questions from a noob

I just recently started using DVD2 and I have a couple of questions.

1.) Is there a way to make a "Return To Movie" button that will actually go back to where you were in a video. i.e. im watching the video and i push the menu button to go change the subtitles or something and have a button on that menu that will go right back to the movie where i left it at.

2.) I have read threads about converting the vob files and such to avi or other formats but my question is is there a way to do so AND get the subtitle overlay in an avi or other format video?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Never heard of a menu button that "remembers" where you last were. But most players I've used will remember where you were if you hit Stop or Menu on the remote while you're watching the video. If you hit Stop, you just hit Play to get back where you were (assuming you haven't turned the player off or opened the door). If you hit the Menu button on your remote, you can navigate around the menus all you want -- so long as you don't start a new feature, you can hit the Menu button on your remote again to get back to where you left off on the video.

You don't have to do anything special in your menus for this to work, AFAIK. Granted, I'm not sure any of this is necessary for your example; DVD remotes have a button for changing subtitles. You don't even have to leave the video. ;-)

Sorry, I've no answer to your second question.

Yes u can all you have to do is make a link to a button or text if u made a Setup manu to chnage subtitles or audio like in retails DVD all you have to do is insert what ever you want in that setup menu or even in the start menu like a button or text and link it but select it first to chenge its propertirs in the compilation/propertirs window if u select the button or text the compilation/propertirs window will change to thet object properties now go to where it says button propertis and go to button properties and change the command line to Resume and destination the movie name and thats all now it will remember where u left the movie at.

Hey, thanks for posting that. I've never noticed the Resume command before. That's pretty cool.
