Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

This is, without a doubt, my #1 go-to site on the Internet.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas. Took the kids to Disney Wolrd for the holiday. Kids had a great time. Youngest one flipped over the Mickey Celebration parade. It rained ALL day (2 hours spent under shelter from the down pour). Hardly got any video until the magic lights parade at night but at least I got that in HDV. Hopefully I can get around to capturing some of it this week and share it with those who have never been but want to see the magic. My son had a great time ad he had Mary Poppins wave to him so guess what he made me buy before we left? A Poppins DVD. Disney sure know how to leverage their sales :)

Here's hoping that Christmas was good for everyone...

...and that it will remain good to the Swedes for the now, what, 18 days (?) left!

What is the exact number? Garo should know.

Do the other Scandinavian countries extend their Christmas similarly? TorS, ...?

In addition to the usual presents, I got the best present anyone could ask for: my doctor found the source of 10 months of continuous severe pain and a fix. Amazing what a difference that made. Didn't even need a red ribbon on top! :O)
I had frankly forgotten what it felt like to think normally.

My most enjoyable holiday moment for many-many years is dressing up as Santa on Christmas eve at the family get-together. As I sat in my big chair dressed as the jolly old elf, with a young one on my lap, I looked around the room and saw the twinkling eyes of my grown daughter & son, and nieces & nephews that had sat on the same lap over 20 years ago. I almost couldn't hold it together. I even had one of the nephews lovingly ask me later on who's going to get the suit when I'm too old to wear it. I guess Santa does live forever

Happy holidays everyone and thank you for all of the kind help over the year. Let's all pray for a peaceful, properous new year in 2007!

Merry Christmas

Hmmm, it didn't have rubberband-attached wings? That's usually par for the course to avoid damage when they INEVITABLY crash.

When I was a kid, there were no R/C planes to buy so I spent a year building one with a 6 ft. wingspan from balsa and lacquered silk. I could only afford a single channel Futaba R/C system, controlling the rudder, so it was not easy to fly (it sounds like it would be impossible to control an airplane without elevator and ailerons, but not so, you just have to do your maneuvers differently).

The first flight ended in a crash into a flagpole that took three months to repair.

After that, I decided to seek out a place without flagpoles: an abandoned airfield!

The second flight was long and successful, until the engine mount vibrated loose from the powerful vibrations of its 2.5cc diesel. This quickly resulted in the airplane seeking out the nearest steel-reinforced object: an old navigation beacon.

This saluted the inglorious end of my R/C days, and I switched to line control, jetboats, and terrain motorcycles instead.

Happy holidays to all - hope you're having a terrific holiday season!

I got to shovel snow out of my driveway for 4 hours, but hey I needed the exercise anyways... gotta love these Colorado blizzards.. :-0

Then the furnace went out, xmas eve, so had to get space heaters til the furnace guy came today to fix it. (new circuit board needed)

But hey! Life is good, got lots o money and health and family, so that's a silver lining.

Let's all have a great holiday season and a happy New Year's!

Rubberbands are no match for a nosedive into a asphalt cart path Hope she got in on sale.
Happy Holidays

Hey all you gift receivers. Here's a hint...

My wife bought some things for me from Amazon that were left in my shopping cart that I hadn't gotten around to purchase. They weren't on my Christmas list, either.

Ended up with Vic Milt's "Quit Whining" book and Douglas Spotted Eagle's "Ultimate Collection" in addition to some Christmas list items.

So keep those shopping carts full in case your better half is in a buying spree!

Guess I should have thrown an HDR-HC3 in my shopping cart...

Ken

After living 50+ years up north, I finally moved to Florida.

I don't miss;

Shoveling out the driveway (mine was 180 ft long).
The crazy drivers.
The Snow.
The Ice.
The Cold.

It's not the same decorating a palm tree. Not shaped right!

Happy Holidays to all!

Tom
