Meta Data location in mp4 files

I am rendering mp4 files for streaming via a flash player on the web.

I am using the Sony AVC option to render. When upload and play these files the player caches the whole file before playback begins. This is because (apparently) the meta data for the mp4 file is at the end of the file and not the beginning or is missing?

I have found an application http://renaun.com/blog/2007/08/22/234/ that moves/adds the meta data and solves my problem but was wondering if I can save the need for this when rendering in the first place?

It looks like Vegas Pro puts it at the back as well....

Vegas 10 still does the same too. Bit of a pain as QTIndexSwapper can't handle big files.... :(

Anyone know of any other utilities to do this?

Answered my own question: found mp4 fast start which does the job and copes with the big files too.
