Well, to record the MetroDome, i would probably use my DV PalmCorder on a tripod, maybe with an external tight-pattern directional mic isolated from the camera movement. Specific details would depend on which orchestra was playing there that evening.

To record the metroNome ;) ... you can set the sound card recording input mixer to record from the "What you hear", "Mixed output", or "PC Speaker" input channel, then enable the metronome and record to a new audio track.

Hmmmm I tried that and I still don't get that clicking sound of the "metroNome"(lol)
recorded into a vegas track...????

I think that "Metrodome" could either be a new multi-function urban centre, or perhaps a movie !
