Hello i'm using vegas 6 and I'm trouble with recording audio. I have tried a computer mic and a lavalier mic and the audio records but it is really low when in the time line. I have to turn the eq all the way up the track volume all the way up just to hear it. 'm trying to do a voice over so i arm a track for record and then record.

How is the level on the input monitor meter? If this is okay then it's a setting within Vegas, (channel level, channel volume fader, envelope volume or master volume) open the file in another application like Sound Forge to check.
If the input level is very low then it's most likily a soundcard setting. Make sure your mic is plugged into a microphone level input... NOT a line level input as would be used with an external mic preamp or mixer.
