audio technica u100 series. You can do a search for this as it comes up often. I asked this question not long ago. I don't know what your budget is but that one is has been recommended. I use a Samson Camera mountable wireless lapel mic. There are several good choices on www.bhphotovideo.com

There are a ton of good ones out there, they just cost an arm and a leg- okay 400 or more.

Look at the AT 831 or 830 lav mics. Inexpensive, but great sounding. Look at the 899 if you want to step up to a much better mic, and it's a sub-mini lav too.

The G2 is a wireless system, you can put any mic on it you want. The AT's I recommended, are just lavs, not wireless. They can GO on a wireless, most any lav can.
Do you want a lav, or a wireless? or a wireless with a lav?

The U100 is a HUGE wireless reciever for a mini DV cam. If you want something smaller - get the Evolution G2 series wireless TRX RX or the WCP Sony TRX RX, and then get the mics of your choice to add to them.

I ordered the U100 and I would have had to get an additional mounting on the bottom of my DVX to be able to even use it.
