Microsoft Net question

I understand you need NET for the demo version to work. Do you also need it for the regular non-demo version of Vegas 5?

Ok, so I installed Microsoft Net. Now when I turn on my computer, I have two accounts that show up on my welcome screen. Is there anyway to avoid that?
