MIDI capabilities

I'm a big fan of MOTU Digital Preformer and I was wondering
if the Vegas Pro is also a MIDI sequencer? Because I need a
squencer as well as a multi-track recording software.
Cakewalk 8.0 just doesn't do much for me but give me a
headache and alot of problems. I just love the Sound Forge
4.5 and would like to purchase the Vegas Pro but want to
know about the MIDI capabilities.

Thanks, Matt

Hello...

No, unfortunately, Vegas is a hard disk recording program only, and
there are no MIDI sequencing options available from it.

Thanks.

The program sends and receives midi clock and timecode, but it is not
a sequencer. I used Cubase for quite a while hoping to discover the
wonders of MIDI sequencing. After a rather lengthy intern with MIDI
I've decided that it is a pain in the ass. Instead I prefer to
manipulate audio data and sync with loops, midi clock, etc.

Midi was developed in the early eighties. It is an outdated standard
and I try to avoid it whenever possible.

Jack of all trade programs are masters on none. Vegas is THE program
for digital audio. What's best for MIDI? Losing it.
