MIDI Features cool, but...

It is good to see that MIDI controllers have been added to VV5, but it still seems as though the MIDI features are half-assed. It is essential to have full MIDI sequencing (like Acid, but actually good), rewire support and native VST support. With these features, Vegas would truly be the king of the A/V prosumer world.

The bottom line is that I don't want to use both Acid and Vegas. I want only to use Vegas. It is the only way to create really tight audio and video edits at the same time (No Mac program supports this as good as Vegas).

Welcome to the club. Bezier masks are equally primitive. And ... I didn't even need them that badly.

Many necessary features -- necessary, not just convenient, or as Spot would say "functions, not features" -- are still missing :(

Ahh, Vegas 5: The Cartoon NLE.

Well this depends on the perspective.

I would use midi tracks maybe once a month, but I will probably use bezier masks everyday...
I wouldn't call it primitive when you look at what's avalaible in other nles...

Vitamin_D:

Oh, you mean like EDL and AAF support? Serious media management? I would have given up all the trinkets and trash (Boris, Magic Bullet, masks) for these three things. I wanted a better NLE.

That would have turned Vegas into a real pro application. Sony, apparently, does not want to go in that direction.
