Midi Playback

Hello.

I created a midi file in cubase se and opened it in Acid 6 pro, but it doesn't play. I did verify that there is data in the file. I also checked the preferences and made sure that my midi devices are installed correctly.

Yet when I hit play back the curser goes nowhere. The playback button will depress, but the curser wil just stall.

But to cut to the chase, you MIDI track needs a MIDI instrument assigned to it to play (soft synth or external synth via MIDI port), the simplest being the bundled DLS synth.

There are lost of places to have gone wrong ! First verify the file plays with the DLS softsynth.
