MIDI Problems

amendegw wrote on 10/18/2004, 7:29 AM
I think I've screwed up my configuration somehow... I can't drag midi files (.mid extension) to an audio track. My cursor changes to the circle/slash icon when I get to the track.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
...Jerry

LOL. I wish!

Vegas doesn't support midi files in any way.

We live in hope...

...you can sync Vegas via MIDI clock however to a sequencer for you MIDI needs. Search for it in this forum...there's a bunch of info on how to do it.

"Vegas doesn't support midi files in any way"

Bummer! For what it's worth, I worked around the problem by playing the midi file with Windows Media Player and recording it in Vegas to a .wav format. Kinda kludgy, but it worked.

Winamp has a plugin to convert MIDI to WAV directly. Very handy!
