The download is an executable. Run that and it installs the filter.
Have you tried that?

You probably need to close and reopen Vegas for Vegas to see the new filter.

The file you download is a zip file.
First unzip that. Then you get the executable. Then run the executable file and it will install the plugin.
Did you get the licence screen that you have to click "I Agree" on?

More specifically:

For the Dynamic Noise Reduction Plugin:

The file you download is Vegdnr.zip.
When you unzip that you get Vegdnr.exe.
You double click Vegdnr.exe, click "I Agree" to the licence and it will install. Then open Vegas and look in the "All" filter folder or in the "3rd Party" folder.

All the Mike Crash filters show up in the Video FX tab, whether it's Pro 7, 8 or 9.

I don't see the Vegdnr.exe file

Huh, did you unzip the file you downloaded?
I think in Windows 7 you just double click the zip file and a new window opens. In there you will see the executable. Then double click that.

You may simply have a permissions problem.

Further information:

I just fired up our Win 7 laptop to try.

OK, by default Win 7 like XP doesn't show file extensions. Probably not a bad idea to change that to avoid confusion. Even so, I double clicked the downloaded zip file and a new window opens to show the contents. I double clicked the only file contained therein and Win7 asks if I really, truly want to run this as it ain't certified or whatever. As I don't have Vegas installed on that machine I cannot go any further but you seem to have not even gotten to that stage.

I got the license agreement to work, but I still don't see the files in vegas anywhere. Does it need to be in a certain file folder?

Mine automatically installed to C:\Program Files\Sony\Filters and all show up in the Video FX tab.

Hi Mike, what version of vegas are you using? I t works in 7.0, but not in 9.0 64 bit.

64-bit mode may be the issue then.
I'm running it in 32-bit mode (XP Pro) on Vegas Pro 7, 8 and 9 and it works as expected.
