Mini-DV Problem - Dates of my Video Recordings?

I've been going through and organizing/capturing my old MiniDV tapes. My Canon HV20 will tell me the dates of the videos that I shot on it, and even the dates of the videos that I shot with my old Canon ZR100... but it won't tell me the dates of the videos that were shot with my old JVC GR-D347U. I sold that camera a few years back, but I've sense bought another one just like it, and when I play my tape in there it won't tell me the date of the recordings either. Is there any way that I could find out when the footage from my JVC cam was recorded? I can't seem to figure out how to set the date/time on that camera at all, so that might have something to do with it.

Is there perhaps a program that could help me out with this?

If you can't set the date/time then it looks like you camera did not record them, and therefore you are out of luck.

I recorded them on an old camera that I sold. I didn't record the video on the camera that I'm unable to set the date/time on. It's the same model camera as the one that I had recorded those tapes onto though.

I finally figured out how to set the date and time on my current JVC camcorder, and the date on my old tapes that were recorded on my old JVC camcorder still won't show up.

I also tried enabling this feature that will tell you the date of recording on my capture program. When I captured my clips it just automatically gave me the current date that I began capturing the clip.

I'm beginning to think that I never bothered setting the date and time for my old camera... therefore the dates were probably never documented.

I could not find the recording date in the test file. I believe that the file does not contain this information...

That's okay. It'd be nice to know the exact date of the recordings, but I can pretty well guesstimate the month/year of the recordings. Thanks anyway dude.
