You should be able to bring the audio from the MiniDisk into the 100 just the same as you would the audio from an external video source. Capture same way, don't know if you can disable video during capture, anyway doesn't really matter, just delete the video track and render out to new .wav file if you like. Your only hassle will be getting the right cables.

You can record directly into the timeline via your sound card.

Don't know about recording via the Canopus. I use MD to sound card. Just wanted to say you can pick up 1/8" cables at Radio Shack cheap.

My Canopus unit doesn't capture unless a video signal is present. You're better off connecting to the line-in on your sound card. Of course, if your MD player has optical out and you've got optical in on your sound card, you'll get the best results by using that. I do it all the time, and the quality is second to none.
