Minimum Delay between Video and Audio Start.

I'm finding that DVDs I am creating in DVD Architect chop off the first few frames of audio on menus and video when played.

I am used to having 12 frames of silence under video on the start (and end) of TV Commercials and Promos for on air use but didn't think this would be necessary with DVDs.

I have also used Cinescore to create music under menus diectly in DVDA and it automatically starts the music with the start of vision. The result is the first mods of music are usuaully cut off as the menu starts to play.

Is there a minimum period of silence I need to allow between vision start and audio start?
Should the first frames of audio be heard clearly if they start on the first frame of vision?

I'm experiencing this problem with both AC3 and MPEG encoded audio produced with Vegas 7e and DVDA4b.
