missing event properties box

I am fairly experienced with Vegas Movie Studio 4, and have created several projects succesfully.
I was editing a photo event. I moved the event properties box out of the way. The box vanished. (Event Properties box is where I can crop, pan, view FX etc.)
I right clicked properties - the normal way to make the box appear - no box.
I added a Video FX - the box usually appears automatically - but no box.
I closed the program without saving, and reopened. Still no event properties box.
How do I get it back?

Sounds like you moved it off the screen. You could change your screen resolution to find it and then change the resolution back. However, the easiest means would probably be to hold down CTRL-SHIFT while starting VMS to reset it back to factory defaults. Also, Vegas Movie Studio has it's own forum here.
