I need to author a DVD where one of the movies is (anamorphic) 16:9 and the other two are 4:3. In theory this can be done by putting each format in its own VTS.
I did this in DVDLab 2.0 but how do I do this in DVDA 5.0? I've been dugging through the program but can't find it.
Simple: put them on the DVD in DVDA & have a button play each of them. AR is independent for each movie you put on a DVD. You can have a WS & 4:3 copy on the same DVD.
I'm not so sure. Have you actually tried it? I can only find a way to set the overall project properties, not individual VTS properties, and AFAIK having different video formats (and different sound systems for that matter) on one DVD is only possible if you put them in their own VTS's. Furthermore, the online help info says:
QUOTE
If a media file's format does not match the project format, the media file will be re-encoded during the preparation process. For example, if your media file is 4:3 MPEG-2 and your DVD Architect project is 16:9, the file will be re-encoded.

Nevertheless, I'll do some testing and see if it works.
