Nope. Just work in a 23.976 timeline.
You *might* notice some issues in transitions, and if you do, conform the 29.97 to 23.976 first, then edit. If you're in Vegas 4/5, you'll probably need to do this, but if you're in Vegas 6, you shouldn't have to.

I was expecting the opposite answer. What are my output options with a 23.976 project?

I'm new to Vegas, with my other editing software I would create my DVD's with Ulead DVD Workshop 2SE.

You have lots of output options with 23.976 (24p)
DVDs created at 24p use nearly 25% less disc space. It's easier to take 60i to 24p than going the other way for output depending on workflow, but your bigger question should be...If I have 100 clips of 60i and 1 clip of 24p, should I be working 60i or 24p timeline?

Take all that into consideration. Output is easy, regardless of framerate. 60i/50i are pretty easy to convert to 24p and get a quality output. Going the other way can get squirrely in post sometimes.

It's aproximately 50/50.

So, what do you want your output to be?

Though I haven't done it before, it appears DVD WS2SE will support 24p. I guess I would prefer that.
