If Boris has bought Vegas Pro from RM (owns Magix now) then the Vegas silence over the last few months makes sense as the price/conditions negotiations of a takeover are kept under tight wraps. It could also be that Boris engineers in the meanwhile need to learn the code and setup infrastructure ...

This could also explain why the Vegas forum platform is being migrated. Could the migration possibly be to BorisFX's forum as occurred with Music Studio, Samplitude and Sequoia when those products transferred ownership from MAGIX to BorisFX? Interesting times!

Yes, it does look like from the BorisFX link that Vegas Pro is likely to take on BorisFX's long existing version/build numbering convention.

As for build 66, my guess/assumption is that 66 is the build number that is the number of development builds that have occurred since the Vegas devs started collaborating with the BorisFX team (after b356).
