Mocha Vegas Not Working in Vegas Pro 22

First make sure you are installing the correct Mocha Vegas version for Vegas Pro 22

Bumping this thread, Mocha does not appear in my video FX tab despite uninstalling and reinstalling the version above. Have also reinstalled Vegas Pro 22, reset settings, deleted all files relating to Mocha on my drive, and clearing relevant registry.

I want to follow up for one final time on this thread to provide closure to any future visitors.

Upon release of Vegas Pro 22 ver. 122 Mocha Vegas did NOT work in any instance. It was not detected in my video FX or media FX panels no matter what I tried. As mentioned in my previous comment, I uninstalled and reinstalled Mocha VEGAS 10.0.6.26 multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled Vegas Pro, cleared my Vegas Temp folder, reset my preferences, deleted all Mocha files from my computer including hand deleting every registry entry for "mocha" in regedit, updated drivers and installed the latest Microsoft Visual C++. Essentially, nothing worked, at all.

Two days later, October 30, 2024 Magix just released Version 194 of Vegas Pro 22. When I started the program a grey prompt popped up after entering my serial number for the new version of Vegas, the prompt said "Mocha successfully activated." Now Mocha is working for me once again. I don't know that this will work for everyone, but it did for me, and I'm thankful for that.

I upgraded to Pro22 yesterday, no sign of Mocha. I downloaded and installed the correct version and Downloaded Visual C++ which performed a repair but stll no sign of Mocha. It is still available on Pro21. Submitted a ticket and now waiting. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Thanks Steve, bitman just pointed out that I have upgraded to VP22, not the suite version. I just saw a super low price and went for it. I still have it installed on my VP21 suite. I reckon I just assumed I was upgrading like for like...

I had this issue upon upgrading, the upgrade process automatically enters the Pro22 serial number and not the Pro22 suite serial number. this was the cause of the issue for me. Make sure you enter the suite serial number when starting for the first time, if not deactivate the program, found under the help menu then re-enter it

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Vegas Pro 22 .

Then open the Video FX and there is no Mocha Vegas.

Not sure what I am doing wrong.

@Ehrich-Diede ... Did you buy or subscribe to VEGAS Pro 22 Suite rather than the base VEGAS Pro version? The reason being is that Mocha Vegas is only available in the Suite version of Vegas Pro.

I know that Vegas now isn't doing Blu-Ray, ------ which required me to go to another software just for chapters and burning Blu-Ray. Yes some of us are old school.

With perpetual licenses, Mocha Vegas is license-locked to the Vegas Pro Suite version with which it was purchased. If you purchased Vegas Pro 22 Suite, the installer would have installed another Mocha Vegas installer licensed to the Vegas Pro 22 Suite. This by no means that you can't use Mocha Vegas at all because you can still continue using Mocha Vegas in Vegas Pro 21 (assuming you have a perpetual license not a subscription), render to a preferred render template and then import that render into Vegas Pro 22. In other words, treat using Mocha Vegas in Vegas Pro 21 as being a stand-alone program.

Over the years - particularly say 10 years ago - it was not uncommon for 3rd party programs included as free with base or higher versions of Vegas Pro to be license-locked to the VP version with which they shipped.
