Moiré is driving me nuts on my exterior shots with my Nikon D5100 camera. From what I've seen on Youtube and Vimeo, Canon users are in the same boat.
Anyway, this page gives me hope.
I have a fast 35mm prime lens that I use for portraits and interviews. It seems to me (from reading the linked article) that if I put a Caprock filter with a value of "1" on this lens instead of my usual UV filter, that that would give me something to use for outdoor shots and interviews where somebody is wearing plaid. Is this a good idea? Has anyone got experience with this?
Also, I would like a wide angle lens with a permanently mounted Caprock filter, but the article leads me to believe that this would not be a very effective combination, even with the "1" value filter. There would be some moire reduction, but not very much. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?
