Mono to Stereo

I am currently using VV 3.0 (I will be updating to VV 4.0+DVD in March). In the meantime, I am shooting with a Canon GL1 and am inputing my audio on the tape via my external microphone. The sound in inputed to only one channel and is therefore mono and appears on the left track

I want to duplicate the mono sound onto the right track, thereby making the audio seeminly stereo. Is there a way to do this simply in VV 3.0 or 4.0, for that matter?

Thanks.

Scott

If you make the track into a mono track, it will appear in the middle and "seem" stereo. Don't sample it as stereo: you'll only end up with a dead right-channel.

If you've already recorded a stereo file with a silent channel, you can always right-click the file, go into the "channels" sub-menu and select the channel that has sound. You'll then transform the track into a mono track playing only that channel, and you'll hear sound in both your speakers.
